This is my first document for the Wiki, and I have done some previous documentation, so the mass of this is copy and paste.
The CL images were built as below, step by step. However, with the latest changes to the network, there are applications that will NOT work with the Softgrid environment. Primarilly, Using and Understanding English Grammar Interactive (Longman Press), L.E.E. (MCCCD), and North American Idioms (Unknown).

UUEGI will not run on the new Campus-wide image because of two things: Rights and third party software. Rights refer to the application needing Power User or higher rights to do anything when installed locally. The third party software refers to the older Shockwave 8.5 that the application was specifically written to use. No other version of Shockwave will work. I've tried.
L.E.E. and NAI will not run because of a Director Player problem with older applications on new computers.

For those reasons, I have taken the last of my images below, and stripped the Novell out (yes, I got all of it), and am having to leave it as is.

The last image listed is currently under construction, as of 12:30pm, 5 Sep 2006.

This is the base of all images on the campus.  This is JUST Windows XP with all the service packs and patches installed.

Second version of the Base image, includes Quicktime 7, RealOne Player (Free), Flash 7, Shockwave 10, Authorware Player, Firefox (with the IE Tab extention), WinXP Anti-Spy, Java 5.0 r6, Acrobat Reader 7, Symantec AV 10, and VMware Player.
Version 1 lacks Acrobat Reader, Norton AV, and VMware Player.

Also includes Group Policies that turn off several things, including all system icons on the desktop, forces classic start menu, removes system options in the start menu, denies user rights to all but the Settings tab in the Display Options.
Version 1 of this image lacks the Group Policies.

Make Reg entry to force run Rosetta.bat on startup, regarless of user.
Do the same for the TMM.bat file, and AutoUpdater.
Again, on first boot, change screensaver as above.  Has to be done every time.

Installed UUEGI Client (Full version this time, with the server pointing to the above Gazaa folders).
Uninstalling IdioMagic, since I cannot get a pin code for it, and the application decided to lock everything out for me.
Added MBRutil.exe utility to the root C:\
	Purpose is to restore the MBR if the computer had the dual boot image, and no longer needed it.
		C:\>MBRutil /R=MBRback.bak

Strip Novell from cfl-dual-XP-98
Update all critical Microsoft updates
Move MicroType Keyboarding program from 98 side to XP, along with wing.dll (Windows/System), and add shortcut to desktop for it
Add new printer information (IP 47 for CL-45-S and 46 for CL-45-N)
Remove old RosettaStone folder, and change the Rosetta.bat to read:
	net use R: \\gazaa\RosettaStone$
	net use U: \\gazaa\LongmanUUEGI$
	net use S: \\gazaa\StuData$
	cd "C:\Documents and Settings\CFL\Desktop"
	del /F /Q *.*
Remove tmm.bat from All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Edit Program Files\Auralog\tmm.bat to read:

  The purpose of the tmm.bat is to remove the previous user name from the Tell Me More username area
