SMART Board -- Crystie
Location: Where [GeoWall]unit currently is.
Title: "Tactile Teaching - Utilizing SMART Boards to Enhance Material Delivery"
Handouts: Not quite sure what will be on my handout yet. Will know soon.
Description: Crystie will demonstrate how you can use our SMART Board to deliver your material in a new, attention-grabbing way. A SMART Board is an interactive whiteboard connected to your computer and a data projector. Once the computer image is projected on the board, the SMARTboard can be used as the computer, thereby allowing you to manipulate your electronic materials or even make notes with the touch of your finger!
Notes:
- I am also presenting the SMART Board at the FCC's Poster Session on Wednesday August 16 12-2p, so (all going well) I'll have materials already prepared.
- My poster is titled as "Tactile Teaching - Utilizing SMART Boards to Enhance Material Delivery."
- Making small projector remain steady/level is turning out to be quite an extravaganza. Currently have a solution where wedging a stack of folded paper pieces under the left corner keeps the projector level. Looking for other ideas.

The expertise of many GCC community members has made this project take wings. However, your input and suggestions are needed to develop a collection of tutorials that serve our campus.
