How to use WebDAV on Mac OS X

To use WebDAV on Mac OS X, you need at least Mac OS X Tiger (10.4). To access the shared space, you will additionally need to disable network stores.

  • To disable network stores, paste the following command into a Terminal window and don't forget to hit return:
    defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true
    Terminal can be launched from Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
    This step need only be done once.

Note that currently, accessing the shared folder directly does not work in OS X Tiger. Please use one of the following instead:
