Green Efforts Standing Committee - Agenda - Wednesday, March 26, 2008

Present: Jeanne St. Amour, Robert Reavis, Christina Eide,  Angela Mick, Mary Jane Onnen, Mary Harris, Alexa Yantas, Doris Velasco, Leo Gokorski, Lee Ann Cone.

I.    Review Committee status

As of March 25, 2008, Green Efforts is a standing committee. If you are signing up for committees, sign up. An e-mail has been sent to President Green since this is one of the conditions for The President's Climate Commitment. Robert has requested that the document be signed for Earth Day.

NOTE: Robert will be having LED lights installed in his office (he and David flipped a coin for who would get them for the pilot).  Thanks, Al! 

II.    Subcommittee reports -
a.    Earth Day - Tuesday, April 22nd - Possible plans/activities
i.    Dumpster dive early (Robert) - posters (Leo suggests): Dumpster Dive lately?
ii.    Doris and [HiTec] - Hoscar (HTC and Oscar merged) for recycling
iii.    Voter registration: Dolly has been contacted for this.
iv.    Earth day in a box
v.    Chill out
vi.    Sky Petition (Christina)
vii.    Student table?
viii.    President signs Climate Commitment? Robert emailed Dr. Green the document again with outlining what we have already achieved.  We feel we're in a better position to have her sign.
ix.    Announce/lauch new recycling at GCC?
x.    Cups ready for Earth Day?  Robert will contact Aramark (Christine saw flyer at Rio Cafe about the cups becoming available)
xi. article in The Voice 

Meet again specifically for Earth Day on Thursday April 3rd at 4pm? 

b.    Recycling - we are already seeing change; individual efforts (like Mary's and Christina's) are showing lots of engagement (bringing home bags to recycle far more frequently)
c.    SPOC- Strategic Planning, Organizing and Communications
d.    Transportation:
