I. Wellness Fair: follow up
a. Plus / Delta?
b. Poster: Recycle? Yes You Can vs. No You Can't - what to do next with the poster? / Recycling
Poster will be moved around from building to building. Next week: Life Science (RR), then Music (CE), then Humanities (JS-A)
II. Earth Day Dumpster Dive and Sustainability Fair: April 22
a. 7:00 AM Dumpster dive - per last year's protocol: details? Captains? Gloves?
Captains: Steve Emrick, Alexa Yantas, Mark Floor and Christina Eide
Christina Eide will buy gloves (100)
Stephanie will check into masks (buy or get estimate, 100)
Robert will have all waivers for participants
Four sturdy tarps will be voluntereed and reused: Mary, Jeanne, Robert & Stephanie ![]()
Jeff Glemba has varied tables will be available
Mary will bring a scale & computer, and summarize results for comparison to last year
b. Selected vendors with actual products To Be Invited: e.g. bikes (SE), Fresh & Easy/bags (RHR), bottles (Leo?); Plus Planned Parenthood and/or ZPG group (SE)
c. Cream your Prof: 10-11:45. Toss a plate of whipped cream at your prof for $2, 3 plates for $5 (fundraiser for Environmental Club)
d. Noon: Dumpster Dive Summary - Mary Harris
e. 12:15 - Guest Speaker - Sandy Bahr, President, AZ Sierra Club
f. Sustainability Project presentations by students (1-2PM)
g. Signage & PR - Mark is working on signage; Suzanne Higgins has already started on press releases
h. Movie at 2 PM? - Probably the 60 Minutes special (see below) RR will show
III. Film Series: Wednesdays in April, 2:30-4:00 in MA 142. Dates: Kim can show a film on April 8 and April 15. Anyone able to show a film on the 22nd? Possible films:
1. Extreme Ice: Nova (52 minutes) about melting glaciers - Preferred for either April 8 or 15
2. That global warming 60 minute special we showed last year at FtN which I thought was really good (50 minutes) - Preferred for April 22
3. Too Hot Not To Handle: HBO special (54 min) - Preferred for either April 8 or 15
4. Revolution Green about biodiesel (78 min) - least preferred
