The primary goal of the First Year Residential Experience Program is to help new faculty become part of the Glendale Community College community through providing information and mentoring. Our new faculty met the week before the fall semester started on August 11, and had a quick tour and orientation to the GCC campus. In addition, they were warmly greeted by our president Dr. Velvie Green and vice presidents, Dr. Fernando Camou, Alberto Sanchez and Jean Abel.
Subsequent meetings on August 18, and September 15, allowed the new faculty to meet their mentors and obtain information on the Faculty Evaluation Plan and the Faculty Professional Growth Program. Future meetings will be on October 20, November 17, and December 8.
