GCC's LMC subscribes to a number of scholarly journals and professional publications that are specifically geared towards online education.  You can find which databases index these articles and the LMC's holdings by using Serials Solutions at the top of the Articles & Databasespage.

Online Classroom is a newsletter-type publication (produced by Magna) that appears monthly; it contains short articles about teaching online, usually with references to longer articles in other publications.  Through Academic Search Premier, you can elect to receive an email notification when the new issue is available, although the link to the listing in the email message won't work as-is from off campus. 

College Teaching is a large-format academic publication that appears quarterly; it contains articles about teaching at the college level, but the first issue this year had a special section on online education with three articles: The Learning Styles, Expectations, and Needs of Online Students (5 pages), Strategies for Enhancing Student Interactivity in an Online Environment (4 pages), and Preparing Our Teachers for Distance Education (2 pages). 

Distance Education Report is a newsletter-type publication (produced by Magna) that appears monthly; it contains short articles on distance education administration and management, usually with references to longer articles in other publications.  Through Academic Search Premier, you can elect to receive an email notification when the new issue is available, although the link to the listing in the email message won't work as-is from off campus.  

Chronicle of Higher Education is a weekly newspaper devoted to news about higher education.  However, it also provides subscribers a daily email update highlighting important stories and a special daily email update called the Wired Campus with news specifically about technology and education.
