This is the opening page for instructional resources for faculty teaching psychology courses. We can share ideas by describing activities and attaching files. I will develop a page for each psychology topic that comes along and you will be able to post comments and ideas on that page. I can also include any attachments that you send my way. For instance, I have attached an activity that I use in PSY 101 called "What About Bob?" to the Abnormal Psychology Teaching Ideas page. This activity requires that students watch the movie "What About Bob?" and answer a series of questions that are relevant to the Abnormal Psych chapter (or course). Click on the Attachment tab at the top of the page and the attachment will be ready to view or download.
You can add comments here about the teaching tip you'd like to share. For instance, I could say -- Students LOVE the "What About Bob?" activity because it combines a couple of hours of entertainment with an important learning experience (and gets them to open their textbooks....). Right about here I would remind you that the activity itself is located in the "Abnormal Psychology Teaching Ideas" folder, tell you to follow the above link, and then click on the attachment. So far so good...
