Recent News

The first problem has been showing up since 11/7/06, the second since at least 1/17/07 (that is the oldest entry in the application log).

The following is a list of new image issues I have found.  Some are likely known and being worked on, others may be new.  All i know is that as an Office Tech, I will need to give our users answers on these...something better than "sorry, that's just the way it is".

1.  After a service pack patch, if the system needs rebooting the only option is to reboot immediately (or shove the popup box aside until later).  Forcing a reboot is fine, but since patches apply themselves automatically, having a "You must Reboot" popup coming up whilst users are working will cause them to freak.  Activating the "Reboot Later" option would be a good option.

2.  The Start Menu loses my icons and is replaced with other unrelated icons.  I live in the Start Menu and to have to re-populate it each morning is not convenient.

3.  The time til screensaver to kick in and password option in the screen saver does not work.  For many of our users, for this to work is necessary.

4.  File associations get broken in shut down and the program selected to bring up something like graphics is not optimal.

5.  No direct shutdown, you have to log off, then shut down to turn the computer off.

6.  The "Add/Remove Program" option does not work.  You cannot uninstall a program you might have installed. 

You can add an announcement to News just by clicking on the Add News link to the far right of the Browse Space icon.
